Tired as Usual...

So Max is progressing nicely, he continues to take his naps, sometimes up to 3 hours at a time, he sleeps well at night, only getting up once. He has learned to laugh...and we can usually make him laugh on command. Some things he hasnt quite mastered, include rolling, he can get to his side, but he cant quite get over...but then again, once he gets there what is he going to do??? he cant stand being on his stomach...guess he will have to learn to continue to roll back on to his back. His height and weight is average based on his last doctor visit. He is getting better at sitting, but still cant really site on his own without falling over.

Miya is doing ok, she is progressing on learning things like counting and letter, she knows that her name includes the letters M-I-Y-A, but she does not know the order of it. she is coming around. I think she can count to twenty, but not sure she can identify numbers past 10. As you can see from the picture above she is gettin more assertive about things, like wanting to put in her own hair pins.

We have started to notice that miya likes to stay up late, there has been quite a few painful nights lately that we have had to discipline her to get her to go to sleep. She can stay up for a long time in the dark without sleeping, which then wreaks havoc the next day because she is tired and cranky. Sowe have been trying to get her to sleep at a reasonable hour...good luck with that mommy. Maybe she is getting done with her naps, that way maybe she will go to sleep earlier.

Miya likes to hop a lot, its hilarious how funny she does things...like running with her arms out like broken wings...guess she will get more coordinated as she gets older...at least she doesnt throw like a girl, she throws overhand and actually does it pretty well and with some level of accuracy.

Max continues to love his thumb...its actually a blessing as it helps to soothe him and often helps to get him to fall asleep at naps and at night.

Max is getting a better sense of awareness and recognition, wheneven julie gets him in the morning, he smiles and flaps his arms and gets all excited. When he sees me he smiles too, but i dont think he gets as excited...maybe cuz i dont produce milk??? That will change as he gets older as mommy wont be able to play the rougher sports and games and toys that only a dad can do.

Miya loves to watch pictures and videos of herself...she used to be somewhat camera shy, but no more, she loves to pose for pictures and videos and then immediately watch herself. Julie will watch old videos that we have taken of miya and she loves to watch herself, she will sit in julies lap and then with a big smile on her face watch herself on the camera and laugh when she laughs on the video.
