11 Mos Old

Finally! She's completely dropped the army crawl and is fully crawling like a normal baby - haha! She actually followed me by crawling from the living room to the kitchen around the corner down the hall around another corner and another corner into our bedroom! Yeah Miya!

Miya is discovering the volume of her voice. She likes to yell. That's right, yell. Ouch my eardrums. Right before she yells, she tilts her head down and looks up and opens her mouth nice and wide - AAHH! Ouch my eardrums again. Imitiation is a big thing with her. If you play with your tongue, Miya tries to copy you. The other thing is tapping your hand over your mouth like playing Indian, "oh-oh-oh-oh." Miya tries to do the same thing on her own, instead her limp hand limp hits all over her mouth trying to make the same sound. Pretty dang funny.

Miya is definitely testing us - she is starting to understand the word "no." She'll reach for somthing she knows she shouldn't. How do we know this? Miya will reach for something and watch us at the same time. As you yell out "no," Miya retracts her hand and extends it again to grab the same item. Ugh. Little rebel.
