Well, Julie is still MIA, so I will be updating the blog....you would think that a sporadic 4 hours of sleep a day would be enough to do blog posts...oh well, i guess not, so hang in there with me with all of my typos and improper grammar, i am from hawaii after all...its amazing i dont throw in pidgin...wassup brah?
So its now been one month since Max has joined us...he is doing well, gaining weight quite well as the stats to the left shows...i cant say that i am surprised since he spends most of his waking hours eating....the rest of the time you ask? well lets say its a whole lot of unhappiness and he knows how to show it, i swear....he doesnt spend much time just sitting there contently watching the world go by...oh well, hopefully that comes later. But other than the lack of continous hours of sleep, his constant need to be held by his parents to sleep or just stay happy....or his pizza face (did i mention he has a bad acne problem?...that may be the understatement of the young year, poor guy...he has a pizza face with extra pepperoni that only a parent could love) but other than that he is doing fine. Well since his life still pretty much exists of eat, sleep and poop..not much else to update...oh i am reminded that he is quite gassy...turns all red..and then.....relief!
Miya continues to do well with Max, although we have noticed that she is getting a bit more whiny....not sure if thats because of Max...or just something she has picked up on...she has learned to sort of know the difference between needing something and wanting something....although in her mind they are all needs....that will have to be fixed over time.
She also has begun to start sleeping on her big girl bed..maybe she is done with the crib...just in time for letting Max to sleep in it...well that is if he ever learns to sleep not being held...exhausting...this better not reflect on his future as a person...needy, gassy, etc...anyway back to Miya....she is also beginning to be much more assertive in her clothes and what she wants to wear....typical of a woman there is no reasoning with her sometimes...but to her credit she does know how to color match...like wearing pink shoes to match her pink bows...guess she gets that from Julie.
According to Julie, I am still miya's best friend...thats just as well...she is daddy girl....i dont mind, i wouldnt mind if she stayed like this for a long time. She also really likes to sing....she sings a lot and if your lucky she might let you sing with her...mostly you have to be quiet and listen to her....else you throw her off....i hate to admit it, but she is a little tone-deaf....ehh...she is still young maybe she will get better.
Miya is getting more and more perceptive..everytime we get prepared food she asks for a french fry...and it doesnt even have to be from a place that has french fries...she still asks for it...and when i get a smoothie of any sort, she has to have one too...i havent tested the waters to not get one for her yet...but i imagine there would be some anger and tears....so i just get her one to avoid that whole situation....i have to try and break that habit...dont want to give her whatever she wants forever. She is also getting familiar when we go out for drives...if we deviate from a direction to go home she asks..."where are we going?"
Last weekend, max and miyas cousins from seattle came to visit...its funny but they are about the same ages and happen to be the same sex...if it wasnt for the distance they would probably become close. Miya had a ball with Karis (her cousin), they played with a hoola hoop, ran all over the place, ate lunch together, tried to take a nap together, but couldnt, too much fun i guess, played with each other and overall had a great time, just like when miya went to visit karis last year. Max and his cousin Carson got along well too...they didnt say anything to each other, didnt acknowledge each other...but didnt fight either so thats good. We look forward to future to more visits.

Great journaling, Troy. I might even go as far as to say that you're better at this than Julie! Keep it up.
