Month 2

We are well into month 2 with Max...and unfortunately he is still not a good sleeper. I think he is getting better...but not good enough for us, but so long as he is not getting worse....but then again, we are not sure he can get any worse. Julie is waiting for 6 consecutive hours of sleep from him. On the postive side he has began to take the pacifier and we are using the swaddle so that helps him to sleep better and unlike Miya he likes the rocker, glad to know that it wasnt a waste, thanks aunty cathy and uncle mike, FINALLY your gift is being used.

As you can see in this picture Max's pizza face is getting much better....but its still pretty rough to the touch, i guess no snuzzling with this one till it gets better, but thats fine for me cuz he is a boy, no snuzzling anyway. Although Julie thinks that he may have eggzema...or is that eczema...anyway its that skin thing, guess we will find out at his next doctor checkup. He is also chubbing up quite nicely...gaining weight...good job mommy!!

He is really good at holding his head up, he seems to be a strong one, i dont remember miya being this strong when she was his age. He is very squirmy, when i hold him, we sometimes bang heads a couple of time because he doesnt have full control of the noggin, but Julie says we both have big, tough heads so it doesnt bother either of us. He is also starting to smile more, although it seems pretty random, we cant make him smile per se...he just sometimes seems to do it. He smiled once at Miya and she got all excited and wanted him to do it again, but was disappointed when he started to cry instead, mood swings i tell ya!

Family picture time...so few of them, since one of us has to hold the camera...it would have been nice if Max cooperated and actually looked at the camera.

As you can see by the two pictures, Miya continues to love Max she either loves him...or she just loves little babies...dolls, etc. lets hope she loves Max. Speaking of Miya, we recently found out that she is not as passive as we thought. We got an update that she stands up for herself at pre-school with the other kiddos....thats a good thing...i like that she is not hyper and aggressive, but she also needs to stand up for herself. She is also doing very well in her big girl bed...although she did fall off of it last night...we were watching tv late and night and then THUD!! and then WAHHHHHHH!, i guess she slept too close to the edge, not sure how she fell, but when i got to her she was perpendicular to the bed, she might have moved because i cant imagine falling that way.
