Three Years Old

It has been a busy month so far.... Miya turned three... my mom and Leonard came up to visit and Max turned 4 mons. Things change, but some things remain the same, for example, Max is becoming quite the sleeper.. but Miya got sick again this month.. can she go one month without being sick? I hope this doesn't mean that she will always be getting sick, she needs to get a stronger immune system.

Miya turned three, it was a low key day, Julie thought she could not handle a crowd of strangers so there was not birthday party, just us and her grandparents. Not sure she cared since she got a birthday cupcake and gifts galore, so she was happy. It was pretty funny she got a dora microphone that played dora music from mom and the first night that she got it she kept dancing to it. Not sure where she learned to dance (maybe from her mom?) but she sticks her hands out, twirls twice, and then does a little hop at the end... HILARIOUS!!!!






Miya also went to the dnetist for the first time. How ironic she has a dentist that was from hawaii.. he said to call him "uncle." For all of you Hawaii people, you know where that comes from, as it seems that everyone is either an uncle or autnie.. seems to be confusing but that's how it is. anyway, she did really well, no wailing or breakdowns, she held mommy's hand and her blanke and was ok. IN addition, there were no cavities, but she has to start flossing her molars, and she has to use real toothpaste now, she is still having a problem knowing how to spit. They gave her a package of dental stuff, so when she came home she then praciced being a dentist, putting on rubber gloves and then using a mirro rthing to look in mommy's and daddy's mouth. Maybe she wil be a dentist when she grows up.

Max had his 4 month doctor appointment, he has moved up the height percentage to 75%, good job Max less of a short rolley-polley.. his weigt is still at 75%, so good growing. He is starting to roll.. he plays with his hands and is starting to grab and he is a drool monster!! Hold him for a sec and then youturn around and see a big drool spot on your shoulder. He is now down to waling up once a night and its pretty much the nexxt as it is sometime between 4-6am... so maybe that counst as sleeping through the night. He did recently go through a period where he did not poop for 7 days.. I was pretty worried, but apparently if you are breast feeding it's ot not a problem unless it's been for 12 days!!! whoosh!! I can't imagine going through that myself. But on the seventh day he redeemed himslef with a big poop while grandma was holding him, good job Max!
