First Highland U9 Game

Miya had her first soccer game of the spring season as a Purple Highlander.

They have had a couple of practices, but have yet to compete.  Their first games was vs Castro Valley, where the girls looked bigger than our girls.  I was told that our team is a young U9 and wanted to do the norcal circuit to get a feel of the games.  I think we were playing a bunch of 3rd graders and our girls are 2nd graders.

Although the girls lost, it was a good experience to start learning positions and figure out how to work as a team.  Most of the girls did not understand the positions that Coach Blair was yelling, because they looked confused.   Sounds like we all need a cheat sheet, including myself!

As for softball, the season is going well and the girls had one last game before the playoffs. It has been all wins and two loss due, one being a forfeit.   The forfeit game was scheduled during spring break and we did not have enough players to play thus the loss.  This losses does not sit well with Troy, if you know Troy.
