10 Months Old

Julie has once again been neglecting the posts, so now I have to take over again, she doesnt like me to do it because apparently i dont do it the right way...not sure what that means...but i think i do fine and if she is not going to do it, well someone has to for posterity sake. I am also doing it since i dont want max in the future to think it was all about miya....if he even looks at this or if this is still active then.

We decided to go to a different place to get pumpkins this year, we usually go this farm that is kinda out in the country...but this time, julie wanted to go to this place that was closer to home...well it was not nearly the same and quite frankly, pretty lame...not much pumpkins and the it just didnt have the same experience as the other place. Julie was pretty disappointed and miya was too...but max was fine with it. Well lessoned learned for julie, i know she talks about new places and trying new things...but sometimes tried and true delivers, especially when you dont know much about the new place to begin with. I think next year we will be going back to the other place.

Anyway, Max is now 10 months old...he is doing well, still not crawliing, although he does crawl backwards...i am not sure what that means or if that is even a good thing...the doctor hasnt said anything so we shall see. Still no teeth either, boy he sure is taking his time growing up. Max went to the doctor, i think he is now in the 50% for height and 50-75% percent in weight, at least that is what i remember, if i am wrong i am sure there will be an update to the blog.

Miya is doing well, now that she is older, she doesnt have as much milestones...at least noticeable...but she has taken to her first song, like an adult song...its the song by Train called soul sister... she sings to it, always requests it in the car and then always wants it to be played, over and over and over...sometimes i have to tell her its not available so i dont have to hear it again...someday she might read this and call me out...but by then, it wont matter. Its funny how she sings, before she would sing in one monotone, but now she is actually trying to match the pitches and style of the song...its cute. She is usually one beat behind or one beat in front, but good enough for her.

I am thinking about doing the pictures too, but julie does not like me doing that either, she thinks, i pick the wrong ones, or i dont put them in the right order, or i dont create a "story" when i post them....who knew it was so complicated, i just throw some up that represents the highlights of the month, isnt that enough? i thought my words tell the story, i didnt realize she was that artisitic.

getting back to the kiddies, max is now readily sitting up on this own and can do it unassisted for a long time...although i am not that impressed, i think he was supposed to be doing that months ago. We have also started to give him solid foods...or more real foods and let him feed himself with his own hands...boy he needs some work, he can pick it up, but cant really put it in his mouth...so it just stays in his hands and get soft, mushy and warm...pretty disgusting.
