At Miya's 4-month appointment, she weighed in at 16 lbs and 25.5" (half my height) which puts her in the 90% for both height and weight. As parents we are so proud and hope that her height takes after Troy. Miya definitely has my juicy thighs... poor Miya!
Miya loves the bottle now! When she sees the bottle coming her way from across the room, her mouth is wide open ready for her feeding. While drinking the bottle, she likes to touch her toes and fingers. Hopefully this is an indication that she will be rolling soon.
Sleeping... what can I say about sleep training? Work in progress. We started the crying it out method and have had success all but 2 times. We let her cry for 1 hour before bedtime which is difficult for Troy to hear. He leaves me to hear Miya's cries while he puts on his headphones. Nice husband.. Now, it takes about few minutes for her to cry before she is alseep after bouncing her a few minutes. Next goal? No more bouncing and just place her in her crib to sleep.
Motor development... Miya is learning to push herself using her legs. She does this new thing in the crib where she scoots herself 90 degrees and sometimes does a 180. Usually we see the top of her head using the video monitor. Pretty funny when we see her face or her diaper butt/bottom of her feet instead.
As for her looks, "she so cute!" Her hair is starting to get curly, her unibrow is coming in nicely as well as her "stache." I guess you can say the massive hair count comes from her Japanese side. Miya can thank her dad for bleaching her "stache" and shaving her legs before all her friends.
