We just returned from our first family trip to Seattle, where Cathy's (my sister) family relocated. Miya did really well on the flight to Seattle with no problems. The return flight was a different story as we were delayed while sitting in the plane for 30 minutes. Thirty minutes does not seem long, but with a baby it felt like 3 hours! Troy could not stop swearing at the airline to get the plane moving! Once we took off, Miya had fallen asleep. We thought she would sleep the rest of the flight. To good to be true? Definitely! The flight attendant made an unncessary announcement over the intercom and rudely woke up Miya. Who cares what type of beverages the airline is serving???? Ugh!
In Seattle, Karis (cousin) loves to play with Miya. How do we know? Karis would start flashing her smile in the mornings when Miya came out to play. It was cute to see the two cousines take to each other and we hope that they grow up to be close (only 4.5 mos apart!).
Coincedentally, our good friends Amy & James were in Seattle for the long weekend. We all spent the afternoon walking Pike Market and having brunch. We also visited the Qwest & Safeco stadiums, the first Starbucks and the Space Needle.
